The City of Pearland will be among more than 300 jurisdictions across Texas who participates in the "2019 Great Texas Warrant Round-Up," which officially begins Saturday, February 23. The Pearland Municipal Court and the Pearland Police Department will join other regional participants in this statewide annual event which targets people who have outstanding warrants.The City of Pearland Municipal Courts have thousands of active warrants which need clearing and Municipal Court officials are encouraging defendants to take advantage of the payment options available to settle outstanding warrants. No amnesty is being offered in conjunction with the Round-Up effort.Once the warrant period begins on Saturday, March 9th, Pearland Police Department officers will actively search for those persons on the warrant list and arrests can take place at any location, including the defendant's home, school or workplace.Notices have been mailed to all defendants with active warrants pending against them.
