The Pearland Police Department is investigating a woman for allegedly fulfilling some sort of fantasy by pretending to be her nonexistent autistic twin sister and performing sexual acts in front of unsuspecting caregivers.
According to police reports, during an investigation conducted by the Pearland Police Department, 29-year-old Rachel Childs was charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault and indecent exposure.
The investigation revealed Ms. Childs solicited a caregiver under the pretense of caring for Ms. Childs' "twin sister" who was described as being autistic. The caregiver received instructions to arrive at Childs' home at a specific time but advised she would not be present. The caregiver was given further instructions to take the autistic twin sister to the caregiver's home and then return her the next morning where Childs would arrive after the sister was dropped off.
During the stay at the caregiver's home, the "sister" engaged in sexually-oriented conduct toward the caregiver who became suspicious as her behavior did not reflect that of someone who was autistic. As a result, the caregiver did some investigating of her own and determined that Ms. Childs was an only child. She immediately contacted the Pearland Police Department.
The investigation further revealed that Ms. Childs was perpetrating a hoax for sexual gratification and was actually pretending to be autistic. Charges were filed against Ms. Childs who then turned herself into the Pearland Police Department on January 3, 2019.
The Pearland Police Department believes there might be additional persons who were similarly deceived by Ms. Childs and are asking them to contact Detective C. Arnold at 281-997-4151 or
