County Officials have been monitoring the Brazos River at Rosharon over the Christmas holiday and now into the new year. The river continues to be on a rollercoaster of ups and downs, as rain falls north of
Brazoria County in the Brazos River watershed.
The National Weather Service has forecasted the river to reach and exceed moderate flood stage at Rosharon by January 10th or 11th. This forecast could always change as we go into next week. At this time the National Weather Service is expecting the Brazos River to start another rise in the river beginning Sunday, January 6th and continue to rise into moderate flood stage.
Residents living in low lying areas along the Brazos River need to continue to monitor the river forecast closely.
Brazoria County social media sites will continue to show updated charts and provide any information that is provided by the National Weather Service.
