Here are the most recent updates of lane closures happening on 288 from the
Brazoria County Expressway Project, as well as a nighttime closure on 518.
January 2, 2019 - January 19, 2019. Inside lane Southbound Frontage Road State Highway 288 from FM 2234 (McHard Road) entrance ramp to Hickory Slough will be closed daily from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
January 2, 2019 - January 19, 2019. Inside lane Northbound Frontage Road State Highway 288 from Hickory Slough to FM 2234 (McHard Road) exit ramp will be closed daily from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. (Exit ramp will also be closed daily 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM January 2nd - 19th).
January 4-5, 2019. ALL LANES CLOSED East and Westbound on FM 518 from Smith Ranch to Business Center Drive. These lanes will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM.
January 11-14, 2019. Northbound State Highway 288 from CR 59 to FM 518 will be closed. All traffic will be diverted to the frontage road. The closure will begin at 9:00 PM on January 11th and is scheduled to reopen by 5:00 AM on January 14th. Expect major traffic delays Northbound SH 288 during this time.

Also, and maybe even more notable,
Brazoria County will be closing 518 overnight in between the northbound and southbound 288 frontage road from 9 p.m. Friday, January 4th through 9 a.m. Saturday, January 5th. This closure is in addition to the larger 288 bridge demolition that is planned for next week.
