The 47th class of the Pearland Citizens Police Academy (CPA) recently capped off their Fall course with a well-deserved graduation ceremony.
For those not familiar with the Pearland CPA, it's a free, 10-week program that provides students (citizens) instruction on the different aspects of policing. CPA classes are held twice a year...once in the Spring and another in the Fall. Course topics include the police hiring process, Penal Code and Transportation Code, Arrest Procedures and Crash Investigation, and more.
After the citizens graduate, they have the option of joining the Pearland Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA). The PCPAAA is a service organization dedicated to supporting the mission of the Pearland Police Department.
Congratulations to the members of the Citizens Police Academy Class #47 for completing the ten-week course.
