"It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Battalion Chief Fire Marshal Greg Bozdech. Greg passed away this afternoon surrounded by family and friends. He served the Pearland community selflessly and with a positive attitude for 11 years and will be deeply missed. He came in to the Pearland Fire Department as a part-time Fire Inspector and was promoted to Battalion Chief a little over three years ago. He was instrumental in starting our K-9 Accelerant Detection Program along with many other accomplishments."

I had the pleasure of visiting with the Chief a few times. He was very approachable, helpful and loved serving the citizens of Pearland. RIP sir!
