Argument Leads To Shooting At Pearland Town Center

The Pearland Police Department has arrested a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred at Pearland Town Center earlier today.

According to reports from PPD, on Saturday, May 5th, 2018, Pearland Police Officers were dispatched to the Pearland Town Center's European Wax Center (11302 #108 Broadway St, Pearland 77584) in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Witnesses to the incident were able to provide a very detailed description of the suspect, which helped officers quickly locate and detain him. A person of interest was also detained a short time later.

Early details indicate the incident stemmed from a verbal confrontation inside the wax center. When the two males were asked to leave the store, the suspect shot the victim after they exited.

The victim was treated on-scene by Pearland Officers and Pearland EMS before being transported to Memorial Hermann Medical Center.

The suspect, 32-year-old Jeremy Vaughn Axel from Houston, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The investigation is ongoing...We'll update this story as more info becomes available.

I'm a little confused. So he didn't shoot the other a**h**e he was arguing with? He shot the proprietor who told their a**es todo beat it? I'm beginning to use this phrase way too much but..

@Stealth83 : Are You African American? Because if you are you should understand how the justice system work with our people if you're not you wouldn't understand no disrespect. Maybe if he was white it would be but for an African American trust me this will not be a slap on the wrist. I live in Pearland and across the street from the Town Center in Southern Trails. I never been arrested in my life until I moved here and I'm not even a criminal. Once you're in our shoes you'll see what we go through.

One day I was driving down 518 and there was a police sitting in the middle of the intersection by 288. (Across the street from Wells Fargo) No one was around me driving I was the only one. We both had our window down and when I passed him we both made I contact. Keep in mind I drive a 2016 BMW M6 and I'm 22 Years Old. He turned around and followed me all the way from Buisness Center to Kingsley down 518. He even went through a red light to catch up with me. He stayed right behind me the whole time I'm assuming he was running my plates trying to find something on me. To me it's harassment why should I have to go through this just to go home?

@ImJustSaying : My son is 24 and is not African American but he has been pulled over for no reason at all. He doesn't live in Pearland but does live in Texas. I just think they target the younger group. One of the times he and his friends were asked to step out of the vehicle and were searched. Again no explanation. 😏
