On Monday March 12, 2018, Old Alvin Road between Town Ditch and McHard Road will be closed to southbound traffic. The road will be ONE WAY ONLY NORTHBOUND as the City’s contractor, Angel Brothers Enterprises, begins installation of drainage and paving on the west side of the roadway. The section of Old Alvin between McHard and the driveway at Cockrell Elementary School will remain open to two-way traffic to allow school buses and teachers access to the parking lot.Additional Traffic Advisories will be published as warranted to inform the public of new developments on the project, including changes in traffic circulation patterns as the work progresses. Please obey all construction zone signs and flaggers, and be aware of construction equipment and personnel within the work zone.
