Horrible accident between traffic lights @ Woodcreek Subdivision & the light at Wal-Mart. Looks like there could be fatalities. Only 2 lanes open, avoid area if possible. Praying for all involved.Added By Admin: According to Pearland Police Public Information Officer Jason Wells, on Monday, 1/1/18, at about 4:45 PM, units were dispatched to a major crash in the 1800 block of Broadway St (FM 518). The crash was actually located in the 1700 block of Broadway, near the front of a Walmart. The officers identified three vehicles that were involved in the crash. One of those vehicles, a white Ford Mustang convertible, was reported to have been driving erratically in the westbound lane of Broadway. Witnesses stated the Mustang was going very fast and weaving in & out and around vehicles. The Mustang was determined to have lost control and crossed over toward the eastbound lanes just ahead of the two other involved vehicles. The driver of the Mustang was ejected from the car and sustained fatal injuries...He was pronounced dead at the scene. On a side note, the Mustang sustained enough force that it was split in half. Miraculously, no one else was injured in the crash. Pearland Detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Patrol officers completed the original crash and incident reports. At this time no charges are being sought for this incident.
