@PearlandDotCom That's horrific that a child will be forever changed, not just by the wholly unacceptable relationship with an adult, but also the loss of trust in people who should always be trustworthy. Sickening.

His sentence should have a long extended stay in the CrossBar Hotel.
They love police officers. 👍

@HillCountry It's a crying shame what our society has come to. This perverted mess is beginning to be so common place now that some of the judges are starting to look at actions like this with leniency. Business as usual attitude.
Look at our political party's in Washington ?
What about the Judge ? 😳

This is very disturbing but as much as I would like to blame the Police officer I need to accept this is a problem as society:
When we lower our moral standards, our priorities switch to show in social media we are a perfect and successful family instead of focus in raising well rounded kids who are being kind, honest, respectful human beings things like this will keep happening...

My view of how dispicable police officers are continues to get lower and lower. The lack of morals and integrity from them make it immpossible to respect any of thrm. My family has experienced it first hand. They make me sick.

@CJJAX First let me say, I certainly respect your opinion. It's how you feel and you are certainly entitled to that.

Second, I was raised to understand that there are good and bad people everywhere. I grew up seeing and experiencing it also.
I believe this applies to all aspects of the work force as well. There are excellent police officers and there are bad ones. There are excellent attorneys and there are bad ones. There are excellent company CEOs and Managers and there are bad ones. The list goes on and on.

People are who they are and character flaws can't always be identified through interview processes. Or maybe something happens or snaps after they have been on the job for a while. Who knows, but I believe there are great and exceptional people in all of these careers. The sad thing is that they don't stand out like the bad ones do. The bad employees in every job attract the attention.

@Lyn0811 to me, personally, that is the worst of it. Given that length of time I think someone outside of the 2 involved had some inkling or knowledge this was going on.
The young girls around 13 and 14 I know talk.
Even an anonymous note to a school counselor, anonymous phone call maybe might have helped?
I don't know, I don't understand.

@Tom57 Amen to your statements Tom. Perhaps it will take a person in blue to assist or save a friend or relative of CJ's to make it clear to him/her as to how valuable and important those folks in blue are to us since that's the business they're in 24/7!

Another fact we all need not to forget is that in our justice system, "a man is considered innocent until proven guilty", and as none of us armchair quarterbacks know exactly what occurred regarding this particular incident, we should all simply sit back, chill out and allow the system in place to sort things out!
