2016 NOLA Murder Suspect In Pearland JailThanks to Pearland & Houston PD, and a victim not afraid to file a complaint, a 2016 murder case in New Orleans may have just jumped a lot closer to being solved. According to PPD, 28-year-old Lovezella Shantell Bartholomew was transferred to the Pearland Jail Thursday night on the charge of Making Threats Against A Public Servant. That public servant was a social worker who was overseeing the CPS case regarding Bartholomew's children. She had lost custody of 3 of her children already and was very close to losing the 4th. Bartholomew made multiple threats of seriously injuring the social worker, including knowing where the worker lived and repeatedly saying that she would come to her house and kill her. The social worker filed a formal complaint with PPD, and HPD made the arrest where Bartholomew was staying downtown. That charge included possible bond, but Bartholomew isn't going anywhere....Except Louisiana. She is being held pending extradition to New Orleans in connection to the murder of 88-year-old Estelle Webb.According to the original story via NOLA.com, Miss Webb's body was found in the Bonnet Carre' Spillway on May 4, 2016, but couldn't be identified until a few weeks later via DNA results. Her death was officially ruled a homicide. She was reported missing on May 6 after last being seen on April 28 by her family/friends. The victim's car, a 2008 Pontiac G5 (LA #SMA684), was also reported missing. NOLA police named Lovezella Bartholomew as a person of interest, and believed she had been driving Webb's vehicle. Bartholomew rented a room from Webb in the apartment above Webb’s home.
