Maybe we can get people out for the runoff between Quentin Wiltz and Tom Reid? I hope so.

@AngelaJooooones There is a runoff for mayor between Quentin Wiltz and Tom Reid. Come out and vote in the runoff. It should be sometime in June. Position 7 also will have a runoff. Dalia Kasseb and Woody Owens will be in the Position 7 Runoff.

according to Community Impact, it was a bit better than I thought with 11% of Pearland voters going to the polls. More than 11 percent of registered voters—7,652 of 68,633 voters—in Pearland went to the polls this May election cycle, according to the county clerk’s unofficial report. The election results will not be official until the results are canvassed by city council on May 15.

I don't understand what the difference is between total voters and district voters. I was trying to add up the votes as I did not see the totals at the top. It still seems to be 7,600 out of 68,000 voters for the city. That's about 11% of the voters.

@Dorothy I believe the "total" is the number of residents who can vote in the entire county...Just Pearland is the number below that. Either way, it's a terrible turnout!
