FBI Still Looking For Pearland Bank Robbers
FBI agents and Pearland Police detectives need your help identifying the gunmen who terrified tellers at a Pearland bank last May. Two gunmen entered the bank and held employees at gunpoint for nearly 15 minutes while a getaway driver waited outside. In the hope of generating new leads in the case, investigators are releasing bank surveillance photographs and offering a reward in the case. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the armed bank robbers.
On May 27, 2016, at approximately 11:00 a.m., two gunman entered the Regions Bank located at 2624 McHard Road in Pearland, Texas. One of the robbers wore a dreadlock wig and a neon construction vest. The other wore a unique camouflage hat with a large brim. The men ordered employees to get together and held them at gunpoint during the bank robbery. No one was physically hurt. The men exited the bank through a back door and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. They fled the area in a maroon Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a third unknown person.
The robber with the dreadlock wig and neon construction vest was described as a black male, 20-35 years old, 5’8” – 5’10” tall and weighing about 170 – 180 pounds. The robber with the large-brimmed camouflage hat was described as a black male, 20 – 35 years old, 5’8” – 5’10” tall and weighing about 210 – 230 pounds. The getaway vehicle was a maroon Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted windows.
