The Pearland Police Officers Association - Charities (PPOA - C) is raising money to build a memorial for Pearland’s fallen police officers. The memorial will pay tribute to the officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice serving Pearland residents. It will be located at the northwest entrance area of Police Headquarters on Cullen Blvd.
The design for the “Officer’s Memorial Garden” was donated by a local builder. The memorial garden will include three lighted walls with the Police Department’s seal and the memorial name. It will also feature plaques dedicated to each of Pearland’s three fallen police officers. The memorial is in the final stages of planning and approval and construction will begin as soon as funds are available.
Fundraising for the memorial will begin on May 15 at the start of National Police Week. A number of Pearland restaurants will be donating a portion of their proceeds made on Tuesday, May 16. Additionally, the PPOA - C is offering a business sponsorship package, which will include a 12x12 tile replica of the badges the fallen police officers wore during their time of service.
The Association is also accepting cash donations or donated professional construction services. All of the proceeds will go towards building the memorial and are tax deductible. Visit
