Pearland ISD Spelling Bee Winner

Nineteen students vied for the title of Pearland ISD's top speller during the district spelling bee recently. That honor went to Abishek Shaju (Pearland Junior High West).

Zoe Navy (Pearland Junior High South) and Tadewa Oyewole (Cockrell Elementary) placed second and third respectively.

Shaju advances to the Houston Public Media Spelling Bee in April.

Congrats kiddos!

I use to love Spelling Bees. I stunk in Math, but could always spell like a whiz.

My daughter goes to South and she chickened out the day of the spelling bee. Congrats to these kiddos!
