Every restaurant I have ever been in, they have served bread with our meals. So, if you are having bacon and eggs at Cracker Barrel, do you pay extra for biscuits? I suppose toast is complimentary with your eggs, and if you want biscuits, that cost extra. Being from the South, I love biscuits with my eggs so I guess I would pay extra.
It isn't just bread- some are charging extra for melted butter (it costs more if you want garlic butter) and things like a side salad that used to come with the meal.
I have talked to two friends from other states and I guess this is true... But they also said for the first time ever... the food was really bad and they refused to eat it ?? Are they hiring the wrong people ... even a manager ??
@NJ99221 : Well there must have been a mgmt change at the one at 288 & Shadow Creek as it is nice now and the food is great. I stopped going there for a long time and decided to try again a few weeks ago.
I hate it when places nickel and dime you. I bet if they would have just raised the price of their food across the board to compensate for the cost of the "free" biscuits and cornbread people would be less offended.

@Magnolia832 : We went for breakfast with our son and his wife. We had to ask for biscuits and were informed that there was a slight charge now because people were wasting them. The price was about $2.50 - but it was a surprise!
