Plumbing nightmare continues. I spoke with Maggie McFalands broke and the Ombudsman. No one is taking responsibility. No surprise there. McFarland told her broker that the family (who she knew) never had issues with the plumbing. Her plumber that she used on the flip didn't notify her of anything. My inspector didn't note anything so this is my fault, my problem!!

@Patty18 : Have you talked to a lawyer yet? You really need to. If for no other reason than her standing in the neighborhood she NEEDS to accept some of the responsibility for this fiasco. You have to be very careful of what you say so she does not try to sue you for slander, but even she should know a happy customer might tell one or two people, an unhappy one tells at least 14. I know her name is now on my list of people to avoid like the plague.

I think you are being skinned by someone in this horrid tale. Saw where your plumber just ran into your home.
I would have driven down to visit Michael Cullingweeks ago. The "Manvel Anvil" of late night TV. Completely competent and honest.
I learned the hard way on a new home plumbing warranty issue thirty years ago.. Builder blew me off, his contract plumbers insurance tried to strong arm me into accepting incomplete repairs and on related damages.
Once I hired an attorney they quickly agreed to pay up. There is a "bad faith" clause which can lead to a judgement of triple damages.

@Patty18 : "My inspector didn't note anything so this is my fault, my problem!!"
That can not possibly be true! You are no expert, so you hired him because he is! It was his negligence that led to this problem, for not seeing thru the lies everyone else is telling. As an inspector, he must carry insurance to pay for mistakes like this. This is like taking a used car to an inspector, who fails to tell you what's wrong with it before you buy it.
