Knives or other "cutting tools" accounted for another 1,476 homicides - about three times the number killed by rifles. If someone is going to kill he or she will find a way!

@wyldbill : Most of those killed by guns are killed by handguns not rifles or shotguns. 6,603 murders reportedly took place with a handgun.

@damascus1986 : Legalizing everything seems to be working in the places that have tried it, not that it's easy to find stats on that. Another indication it's working? Imagine the implosion in the crime industry if everything was legal, safe from tampering, and cheaper? Not to mention the improvements in society if you we could funnel the money currently spent trying to stop it into helping those already addicted.
