I put the corned brisket in the crockpot… I cover with chicken broth instead of water.
Has everyone started dinner yet?
I put the cabbage in last after the carrots… cabbage for about 15 mins. Cook potatoes separately bc we have vegetarians in the house.
Has everyone started dinner yet? What/how are you cooking yours?

My corned beef is in the oven, cooking for 2 hours. I used stout instead of broth this time, we'll see. I usually boil the carrots, then add potatoes on the stove. I also do the cabbage last, but I like it sautéed with a bit of butter and oil. This year I found parsnips, too, I guess I'll cook them with the carrots.

No Time to cook all day... so we are making Reubens this evening... I think others we know are too..
Finding rye bread and corned beef and German style sauerkraut and the swiss cheese took two trips
to groceries... but worth it all....Yum !!!

My corned beef has been in the crockpot ALL day. Smells amazing! I'm going to roast potatoes with olive oil and rosemary in the air fryer. I'm soooo hungry! This is one of my favorite meals.

I boiled ours all day with onions and garlic. The house smells wonderful. Added some of the corned beef water to the cabbage before serving. Also had small red potatoes and of course, Irish Soda Bread and Irish coffee. A great day!!!

Even the Mexican guy liked the meal, so I guess I did good. I tend to more European flavors, he likes the spicy stuff.

I had corned beef hash for breakfast, with the leftovers. I tossed the roasted veggie leftovers in, too, to use them up. Delish!

Last night DD, grandson and friend got home from Chicago. They called and requested "bland, low spice, easy on the stomach" food. They got oven fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and green beans for my husband. I could not believe the amount of food the kid put away! I don't think they fed him all week. He had all of the above, and noticed some left over mac and cheese in the fridge, so he added that to his plate.
