@CPres : We finally hit an In-and-Out, meh. Just a glorified slider, nothing to write home about. Whataburger really is better, but mine at home are better yet.
I always though threading was rather fascinating, I've watched it done at kiosks in malls.

@Blackbird : does threading give you eyebrows where they're lacking or thin

Go to In and Out only if you are curious about what the palate-impaired Californians think is a good burger. I guarantee you will be underwhelmed. But, I do understand the urge to see what all the hype is about.

I visited the drive-thru at 2pm. last Saturday in Stafford.
1st. I'll give the benefit of doubt, considering covid impacts on supply chain.
Review, burger was so thin and the few fries were tiny, not freshly cooked.
Good was the bread, lettuce, tomato were very fresh and the cost around $5.
I'll try it again, after the covid crazy settles down.
Nice area it is, many years ago I worked at the closed down building
across from the Costco, Texas Instruments.
Lastly - WhatABurger is not Texan, it's great marketing that's all.
I've a family member in marketing that is involved with WhatABurger, Sonic Drive-in, and others.
Texan is fresh Angus Beef made into a thick patty.
Where to find that? Backyard bbq is the best bet these days.

I actually do not like thick hamburger patties. I prefer really really thin patties - more char seems like better flavor to me. And for the money, one of the best burgers out there is McDonald's bacon double cheeseburger. 2 bucks.

Very thin, and sometimes I take it off and just have the condiments.
