Hi! My name is Julie Dunn-Smolin. I moved here from the northeast (NJ) in 2016 to be near my elderly dad. He has since passed away, and I stayed on. Pearland is a really diverse city with a lot to offer, but I hope it keeps some of its small-town feel - at least here on the east side. ;>)

I lost my husband a year ago, and it has been a hard adjustment, But with God's help and friends, it is getting a little easier. Anyway, I hope you make a lot of friends in Pearland and find living in the South everything you want it to be. We Texans do say y'all and you will hear it often, but you will also hear accents from a lot of other states as well. Happy New Year!

Welcome to The group Julia. I live right on the border of East Pearland and Friendswood city limits. I also moved here from NJ. That was in 1966, suppose to be here for a one year contract ……. People in this group are very cordial and informative. Hope you will enjoy being part of Peaeland.com.
