Who is going to the HOUSTON Thanksgiving Parade?
This year is the 72nd annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade in Houston, one of the oldest Thanksgiving parades in the country. The parade will go through 20 blocks in downtown Houston, featuring floats, marching bands, balloons and other unique Houston entries.

What time does the parade start?

The parade will start at 9 a.m. in downtown Houston. Seating for the parade starts at 7 a.m. with entertainment beginning at 8 a.m. Admission to the seated area of the parade is $28.25. Seated attendees must be in their seats by 8:15 a.m.

Who will be in Houston's 2021 Thanksgiving Day Parade?

This year's parade participants include Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Cirque du Soleil Alegria, TSU Ocean of Soul, Bun B and more.

Where can I see the parade?

Seated participants will be placed along Smith and McKinney streets. The parade will start along the intersection of Smith and Lamar streets; travel down Walker, Milam, Pease, Louisiana and Clay streets; and end at the intersection of Smith and Dallas streets.

Where can I park for the parade?

Parking is available at multiple lots around the downtown area, and Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County buses will operate on a Sunday schedule. To find recommended parking options, visit www.downtownhoustonparking.org.

Unfortunately I will be watching on television due to the rain. I wonder if it could be canceled because of it

@NJ99221 : Well, one nut job out of 350,000,000. That wouldn't keep me away, but cold and wet weather will.

Nope, nope, nope. Would not go to Houstons downtown area on a bet. If I want to see I'll watch on TV. Pearland does have a very nice parade

There will be more security then ever today! One may even say it's safer than typical with so much security, that's it's the best time to go!

@Stealth83 : Feel bad for the participants and organizers after all they have been preparing for 2 years. Nothing can be done whenever the weather doesn't cooperate

@Stealth83 : Good news for the Pearland parade, but it absolutely dumped on us in downtown Houston. For dinner, the parade had already been cancelled.

I love going to parades!
Reminds me when I was younger and went to the Macy's day parade, partially every year. (We lived in Brooklyn)
So now, that I live here, I watch the Macy's parade on the TV.
