Please rethink your choices,,, No one would have mac and cheese for Thanksgiving ???
Put the turkey in the oven ,,,, make sweet potatoes ... gravy for the dressing ... a green salad
would be great to start or a green vegetable ... something green for sure .. rolls on the side ...
and have those pumpkin pies ready for dessert ... If other items are added thats where the heavy
weight comes in .. thats my opinion !!!!!

I like making tv dinners with leftovers.
Start with layer of mashed potatoes, then turkey, then stuffing, then cranberry sauce, then some sweet potatoes and then another layer of mashed potatoes and cover top with gravy.
Cover and put in freezer to heat up later.
All the best of Thanksgiving dinner in a casserole. I've even added green bean casserole on the mix too.

#3. baked beans, don't get rid of em, save for the leftover days.
My picks are traditional - as Thanksgiving is
turkey, a small serving.
mashed taters & squash casserole looks yummy.
mac & cheese I'll share!

That's easy….anything with squash can go!

I can't wait, we're traveling to Tennessee this year to have Thanksgiving in the mountains with some of our Ohio family meeting us at a cabin we rented overlooking the Smokies!

@carymc1 : Thank you! We're very excited, we've been planning it for over a year now. My kids can't wait, this will be our first long road trip and they'll get to see a few new states along the way, they can't wait! It'll be the longest I've ever taken off work too, so I can't wait either!!!
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving in advance as well!

@Vcaprico : If you can - stop at the Welcome to the State signs and take pictures. That is one of my favorite memories about travelling when I was younger.
