I do think the older we get the time change affects us more. When we were younger we just adapted better. I am for it going away !

I don't mind the fall back time change, as I'm looking forward to that extra hour of sleep. Spring forward is the one that gets me. I like the extra daylight, but I seem to have a more difficult time adjusting to it.

Just wait. When you retire, you spend a lot of time just trying to figure out what day it is. Time? Who cares?

Does anyone NOT change?
Sure! In fact, Russia stopped a few years back. They got to Daylight Saving Time and just never went off it -- consequently, during Moscow's winter, the sun comes up just before 9 a.m. and goes down at 4:30 p.m.! Both commutes are pretty dark!

Japan doesn't change either, but I don't blame them -- the sun comes up there in winter around 7 a.m. and goes down around 5 p.m., so that works out pretty well.

It's all about latitude and attitude! Some 70 countries change their clocks, but it's a matter of what works best for everyone (Arizona and Hawaii and parts of Canada opt out). Fortunately for many of us, a lot of clocks these days just change themselves!

Emoticon Will we ever decide in the USA to stop the clock change? Time will tell. Emoticon

@Dorothy : Yes, those states are mentioned in the post. This was a part of a blog. Emoticon

I'm familiar with Scottsdale Arizona, working at my job with the Kronos Timekeeping system that is based there.

Emoticon Today, Nov. 5th Arizona is 2 hours 'behind' our Texas time.
We will change on Sunday, - they will not.
(not to get too technical but parts of Arizona do observe DST -the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Reservation.)

@Txtoast : Arizona doesn't change the time. My sister lives there and summer months they are on Pacific time and as of Sunday they will be on Mountain time.

Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 AM Sunday. Be sure to set you clocks back one hour before retiring tonight. Also, this is a good time to replace batteries in smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and NOAA Weather Radios!

I do not understand why it bothers anyone to turn the clocks back... If they stop doing
this next year will people complain that they don't this ??? Just hope they tell us to not forget to turn
the clocks forward when that date rolls around !! Hey , it gives people something to do before they go to bed

@NJ99221 : that's an interesting look at it. Honestly, some benefits come from it, like
the school kids that were waiting for the bus in the dark. Emoticon
This morning, I reset the table lights/lamps that are on timers. Emoticon

@Stealth83 : I'm with you there. I don't see the need for daylight savings time anymore.
