Ah, but my local HEB keeps up with that! Personally, I prefer to just wander thru the store, but that does mean I end up buying things I hadn't planned on.

We enjoy wandering the aisles too especially if there aren't many shoppers. I prefer to walk around in air conditioning. We end up buying more because my husband wants everything he sees in the stores. I try to make sure he is fed before going. Lol

If I walk in full, I don't buy anything, nothing looks good. I have to go semi-hungry. Then, I usually have a list to stick to.

I usually have a list also - but somehow things not on the list jump into my basket when my back is turned - go figure !

How to, I have seen men taking pictures in the food aisle of a product or two to send to the significant others to ask Which to get.

When I shop, I know what I am getting, and I get it and leave. When my husband is with me, there is no telling what we will come home with.

If my husband shops without me, we usually get all that's on my list plus chips and Blue Bell - that's his list!

@Knk : Yep. That's me. Chips and ice cream please. I don't need aisle numbers because I know ice cream is in frozen section and chips are all in snack aisle.

@Inb0913 : except for the time my Jesse made one too many laps at the freebie wine, the cooking show & then rounded the aisle to the olive bar. "Uhm, honey those aren't free and I think you just ingested $30 worth of the fancy artichoke hearts and whatever the other stuff is floating around in the Corinthian Leather olive oil. Lol.

@Knk : they quit them at HEB, Costco and Sam's during the earliest outbreak of Covid. They just started back. But I'll bet that will be changing again.

I try to go shopping alone. Get what I need so I am in and out really fast. When hubby goes of my we buy everything but the kitchen sink. Then he wonders why is is picking up weight
