@Stealth83 : I buy a loaf of bread and board that ferry (walk-on) everytime I go down there, it never gets old! I hope last time they rebuilt they raised their pylons as high as that one survivor did. I think it was 19' instead of 15'.

@Blackbird : Agreed! I'm looking for a home to purchase, but when I find a tempting one in the coast area.... I always pause and think about all the evacuations and insurance costs. Inland is the best and I can always drive to the water on the nice days. 😎

@Kendall : High enough up to be above the storm swell works, but dang, that's a long, tall walk after you move in, every time you bring home groceries or something. I wonder if they have an English Butler devices, where you put it in at the bottom and use pulleys to pull it to the top.That, and where will you park your cars? Not under your house.

I saw a drone post on Facebook from yesterday at Surfside - already so much water covering residences that cars would have been flooded already.
