It is true that Starbucks is closing stores this year, but at this point they have not named which stores. I would hope they would start with the redundant locations like where there's a Starbucks inside of a Target and then there is a stand alone store in the Target parking lot. It seems more likely that the Walnut closure is a temporary one related to COVID. But, I really don't know for sure.

Oh no!!!! That's my Starbucks too! 😢. I would guess the same that someone tested positive, because that happened a a nearby Popeyes as well. They shut down, and now they are open again. 🤞🏻

I was wondering that, too! I go there cuz it is one of the closest drive thrus! I noticed that the one off of Shadow Creek closed or shortened their hours, too !Yesterday, I had to drive to the one on Pearland Parkway and the beltway just to find a drive thru after 3pm!!

Yes, a team member did get sick, that was 2 weeks ago, an employee said. Store was closed for a few hours for cleaning. I've not returned since then. Look forward to visiting when things calm down, hopefully soon.
Favorite store of mine too.
Edit: wanted to add- it was 2 weeks ago this happened, store closed for cleaning, and reopened the same day.
Also was told that reduced hours are to relieve staff. I would think the Pearland Parkway @ Beltway 8 has longer hours due to having more employees.
