@Joyful3422 : I was hoping to make divinity for Thanksgiving but this weather isn't going to allow me. ☹️ What kind of pies are you making?

@Mitsu2125 : Well I love to bake so I make everyone's favorite, Pecan, Pumpkin, Cherry, Lemon & Choc! I love coconut cream pie, but I'm the only one who eats it, so I don't make it, cause then I have to eat it all, ha ha

@Mitsu2125 : My brother-in-law said he hated sweet potato pie, but loves pumpkin pie. As you might expect, we did the switch and he had two pieces of sweet potato pie, thinking it was pumpkin. He loved it, but he denies to this day that he likes sweet potato pie. Hahahaha. Unfortunately I love both types of pie, plus almost all others.

@DrewLundgren : That's funny! I love pies! Have to admit I wasn't a fan of mince meat pie as a kid.

@DrewLundgren : Never made sweet potato pie, and certainly not mincemeat, yuck! I never understood mincemeat pie, I'm just not a fan!

@Mitsu2125 : I have my nanny's old recipe for coconut cream, its so good, wish just one other person in the family ate it!

@Mitsu2125 : My Mother always told me that you can't make divinity when the weather is damp and cold! I ask to make divinity for years. The year I turned 12 I ask her again if I could make the divinity. A few days later she was cooking pies, candy and baking cookies. I didn't see any divinity. She said she couldn't make it because of the weather. I told her I could make it. She called me a smart*** and to go ahead. It was thundering, lightning and pouring down.
I got all the ingredients together, turned on the air conditioners to pull the humidity out of the house. It turned out perfect. She was furious with me because mine was perfect. She never tried to make divinity again. LOL

@Sherry3898 : That's hilarious! Glad it worked. If this weather doesn't clear up I will turn on the AC! Thanks for the idea.
