Interesting piece of propaganda with quotes Alinsky never said.

themoderatevoice.com /who-are-the-useful- idiots-really/

On Health care: The United States spends about twice as much per person on healthcare as most other developed countries, yet we receive far worse standards of care. Even our life expectancies are dropping measurably.

On Poverty: Until the 1970s, everybody's income grew at roughly the same rate. There was, and always will be, a gap between middle-income folks and the very rich. But the gap now is wider than it's been since the Great Depression. Progressive politics aims to provide the tools people need to lift themselves out of poverty.
Conservative politics provides nothing but empty platitudes about the "American Dream" and "rugged self-determination," and has all the while continued to pull the rug out from under Middle America.

On Debt: The US national debt passed $22 trillion on February 11, the first time the federal debt had breached that threshold.

The landmark came just over two years after President Donald Trump, who once promised to eliminate the federal debt in eight years, took over the Oval Office.

On Gun Control: Try to understand that common sense gun control is something we need. No one really needs high powered guns. The founders never envisioned the kinds of weapons we see today in the hands of individual citizens.

On Welfare: "Safety net" spending (which excludes healthcare and Social Security) represents only 10 percent of the federal budget.

On Education: Federal spending on education has remained virtually flat since 1976. Education is locally controlled, not controlled by the federal government. If you look at the states that do the least, they are also the worst in terms of education levels of their students.

On Religion: There is no evidence that religious people of any stripe are more moral than non-believers. Conservative states in America enjoy vastly higher rates of murder, robbery, arson, and assorted other crimes when compared with "blue" and "purple" states.

On Class Warfare: We need to hold corporations and the wealthy accountable.

I don't think 'enjoy' would be the correct term. People do need to be responsible but we can't throw it all on the wealthy and corporations. We need to carry our own weight including (especially) the welfare queens.

The welfare queen thing is a myth. There was ONE woman who fit the stereotype.

www.chicagotribune.c om/columns/dahleen-g lanton/ct-met-dahlee n-glanton-welfa

Reagan, the Republicans' king of welfare reform, introduced us to the "welfare queen" during a campaign rally in 1976.

"In Chicago, they found a woman who holds the record," he said. "She used 80 names, 30 addresses, 15 telephone numbers to collect food stamps, Social Security, veterans' benefits for four nonexistent deceased veteran husbands, as well as welfare. Her tax-free cash income alone has been running $150,000 a year."

That never happened. But her legend lives on.

The truth is that the average food stamp recipient isn't an urban black woman at all. She is a white woman.

And the people who benefit most from food stamps paid for with our hard-earned tax dollars aren't primarily black kids living in fatherless homes. They are little white kids who would starve to death if the government didn't step in to help them.

*************************
So the next time you hear someone complaining about a customer holding out the checkout line because they are using their SNAP card, tell them that it could be a friend or a relative who is simply trying to make ends meet. And that elusive "welfare queen"? She's just a figment of those Republicans' uninformed imaginations.

the system is built on debt the crisis i have been talking about for a while is on its way and we are starting to see more cracks in the system. no matter your political beliefs this has been coming a long time. 125 billion in QE dollars printed this week 25% of what was printed in 2008.

@Joyful3422 : Excuse me, but I post facts. It's the Trumpets who accept the lies that are promoted by Trump. Liberals actually accept the facts and want the truth. Note though that politics is the realm of opinion for everyone. The free press should also be counted a truth-generating mechanism - it doesn't always work, but it should prompt citizens to be seeking the truth.

Prominent figures on the right love to stir up controversies over non-events (like Nike not selling a shoe with the Betsy Ross flag) because they know their base and viewers are so easily riled. They display the traits they say they most despise among liberals and Democrats: oversensitivity, excessive attention to trivia, overblown outrage.

@Dorothy : A welfare queen is anyone holding their hand out that could be working instead of stealing benefits. But if you prefer to continue to blame Republicans and Trump for everything then you just go right ahead and keep your blinders on. I, for one, am a little weary of your know it all attitude.

@Mitsu2125 : SNAP helps millions of Americans put food on the table each month. While two-thirds of participants are children, elderly, and people with disabilities, who are not expected to work, SNAP also helps workers, both to supplement low wages and support them when they are between jobs.

NOTE it helps workers who don't make enough to get by and people with disabilities who cannot work.

As usual, you can't stay on point. I referred to the ones who could be working but are holding their hands out.
I really don't understand what enjoyment you get out of quoting fake news and ticking so many people off on this board.
You must be a very unhappy person.
