In Canada there's been a huge push for decades for bilingual teachers (English and French). I had a friend apply, they were shocked when his second language was Irish. They had to change the job description to specify which two languages they were looking for....
Can you rent anywhere without a card anymore? Anything missing from the room, they just auto charge that card, not that I know from experience. It's been decades since I stayed some where with decent enough towels worth stealing.
I do like @MalluGuy's idea, I wonder how big a tip you'd need for the maid to lend you her vacuum?...
@damascus1986 : Legalizing everything seems to be working in the places that have tried it, not that it's easy to find stats on that. Another indication it's working? Imagine the implosion in the crime industry if everything was legal, safe from tampering, and cheaper? Not to mention the improvements in society if you we could funnel the money currently spent trying to stop it into helping those already addicted....
@Michael1960 : I don't know about aggravated assault either, but peace officers do their best to mitigate dangers while working an accident. I'm betting the driver didn't see a human being in his path because he was impaired....
I'd like to know who published his books. The point of a college text book vs. a middle school teacher's offering thru Amazon could be very different. The college level would be published after approval from a board, and done by an accredited publishing company. His book may or may not have been certified, maybe he was a 3d party seller and his pamphlet was done by a vanity publishing company. Maybe not, but it still smacks of 'pay to play' to me.
The rules for the grade even states they can't mention...
@susieq : Maybe, but I'm guessing it was a well-lit scene and he wasn't just darting out into the dark picking up bits of fender. I'm sure that more details will come out in the coming days, and I'm also sure that we'll have to follow up on our own because it won't be reported because the news media will be on to the next stories....
I love my Skechers, they're comfy, stylish and seem durable. I found them in a store, but had to buy online because they didn't have my size. (No one has my size, I do that with most of my shoes)...
@Dorothy : @Ella : From I read, it seems one factory had contamination concerns after a couple of deaths. They didn't find the cause of death at the facility, but shut down the plant anyways. This plant produced specialized formulas for babies with dietary restrictions....
