Yup, there are some days I just don't want to deal with traffic. Because of where I live I can pick driving E on 610 or 8, some times and days, 8 is just the way to go. Same with N bound, I can choose surface streets or 8, but it be 30 minutes difference if I just pay the toll for just a few miles.
I admire your stamina, I've endured 9 or 10 hour flights, but never 16! I think I'd have opted for a flight from Hobby to IAH in your case, lol. Of course, I bet that would have added 2+ hours to your trip....
They have a crispy trout dinner that's very good. Or at least they did, I haven't been back since my monthly cross-country trips a while back. I'm sure it wasn't fresh fish and didn't get ordered often, but it was executed well....
Once the bill got that high, how could it not be the sellers responsibility?!? She's only owned it 3 *weeks*! I wouldn't pay it, I'd tell the inspector to go back to his insurance and the realtor for their's, too!! Once you pay it, it's your problem getting it back, I would think.

Drink water, healthier and zero calories. Use a wedge of citrus, or a couple chunks of cucumber to make it tastier. A sprig of mint or basil works, too. Iced tea is also zero calories, just don't go for the sweet version.
Then, as NJ99221 sez, eat a lot of veggies and fruit. Chopped berries with yogurt or cottage cheese makes a great, light breakfast. Have a few meatless meals every week, if you want/need protein have fish or chicken instead of red meat. I try to have a dinner of nothing but veggies...
