I heard Aldi is not what it used to be. It's a better shopping experience for better produce and great prices. Used to be in "low income" areas but not any longer. More like a Trader Joes~ if your familiar with Trader Joes. YEA!!!

We sometimes shop at the Aldi just off 288. Limited selections. Prices can be VERY good, but be aware that the sizes of boxed items are generally not the same as name brands in other stores, which makes price comparisons tricky. You can get some good deals on perishables. What makes it really worthwhile is how low the prices are on the produce. Again, not a lot of different choices (they don't have 12 kinds of apples!) and sometimes you need to pick through for freshness, but the prices are likely to be the lowest you'll see. Definitely worth a look-see.

Best produce prices in town ! Not as much produce to choose from like a big supermarket , but worth the trip there !
Milk and eggs are also the best prices in town !

Since it will more than likely next door to me I'm sure they'll get some of my business, especially when Kroger relocates and will be so big!

Sure would love if they would build another Bowling Alley though

@PearlandDotCom , mixed reaction, happy that there will be another Aldi, too bad that I did not even have a chance to visit and play in that bowling area... Lessons learned...

I love Aldi, they have good prices.

@Stealth83 I am too! I'd say I shop there more than any where else. I even get my prescriptions filled there....50 gas points!! It will be nice to have the new store with a drive thru when necessary and gas pumps so I don't have to go to the Cullen store for gas.

Bought some amazing strawberries at Aldi in Town Center for about $1.30 yesterday, so good I went back and got some more today. Also got some very tiny asparagus that is very good. And marinated pork tenderloin for $3.50 a pound.
