Tomorrow (7/26/16), officers from the Houston Police Department's Public Affairs Office continue workshops on educating the community on severe weather and flood preparedness.
The "Turn Around, Don't Drown" workshop will be held at Sagemont Church at 11300 South Sam Houston Parkway East. Presenters will provide flood safety information from the HPD, Houston Fire Department and Office of Emergency Management, as well as distribute brochures and promotional safety giveaways, including a limited number of "car escape tools."
Mayor Sylvester Turner and Acting Police Chief Martha I. Montalvo kicked off the "Turn Around, Don't Drown" campaign last month at City Hall.
